Bridget is a principal in Baker Tilly’s financial services practice. Bridget focuses on clients in the financial services sector, primarily in the banking, alternative lending and finance, Fintech, broker-dealer and insurance industries, including both private and publicly traded companies. She began her public accounting career more than 25 years ago with an international firm, where she exclusively served financial services companies and participated in a rotation in their National Technical Office. Currently, Bridget plans and leads client audits.
- Serves a number of privately and publicly held financial services companies, providing advice on accounting disclosure and other financial reporting issues
- Oversees engagements relating to mergers and acquisitions affecting her clients
- Oversees engagements regarding regulatory compliance and remediation where necessary
- Provides advice on a variety of issuer concerns, including mutual to stock conversions, “going public” and other capital transactions
- Provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures relating to operating efficiency and effectiveness as well as COSO and SOX compliance
- Produces technical thought leadership on relevant industry topics
- Has participated on an international task force regarding the development of Human Rights Auditing standards and other Sustainability considerations
- Has championed initiatives regarding the impact of Diversity in the Workplace
