
Crystal is a director with Baker Tilly’s risk advisory practice. She has more than 20 years of experience working with financial institutions, focusing on financial crime compliance. She leverages her industry experience and deep regulatory knowledge to lead and transform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions and fraud compliance programs for financial institutions of all asset sizes, from community banks to global investment firms. Crystal has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that exceed regulatory expectations and enhance business performance.
- Assists financial services clients with evaluating BSA/AML and sanctions compliance, including independent reviews, reviews of suspicious activity reporting, validation of customer risk ratings, transaction monitoring system implementation and validation and lookback analysis
- Assists with audit support for client readiness and serves as a resource for ongoing client readiness support
- Develops and implements key risk strategies for financial institutions, financial technology companies (fintechs) and investment advisors to align with regulatory expectations
- Develops and implements AML and sanctions compliance programs for financial institutions to allow them to exceed regulatory expectations and permit growth through mergers and acquisitions
- Develops and implements fraud risk management strategies to build a fraud model and reduce fraud losses
- Serves as a key resource for clients who are remediating regulatory findings
