Gregg Hamilton-Piercy is a principal with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice. Gregg has a diversified background in corporate finance, having spent more than 15 years managing valuation and related engagements intended for a variety of purposes including gift and estate tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, equity buy/sell agreements, marital dissolutions, and financial reporting.
Gregg works closely with privately held and publicly traded companies in a wide variety of industries, providing them with complex valuation assessments and litigation support. He has deep experience in the areas of stock option valuations, goodwill and intangible asset impairment testing and intangible asset valuations. Gregg is particularly well versed in the areas of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), merger and acquisition transactions, reorganizations and spin-offs and equity buy/sell agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Gregg spent five years serving in a valuation analyst capacity for several Boston-area firms. He also served as an Assistant Vice President for a venture capital firm focused on investing in expansionary-stage private companies in the information technology, telecommunications, real estate, energy and health sciences industries.
