Jake Kutz is the firm’s assurance team leader. He also leads Baker Tilly’s manufacturing, distribution and technology team across Greater Pennsylvania. He joined the firm in 2003 and has extensive experience providing accounting and audit services to public and private companies. Jake also has experience auditing the financial statements and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting as well as debt and equity offerings for those clients.
- Serves as partner-in-charge of financial statement-only and integrated audits of public and private companies
- Provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures to improve the operation of the accounting function and strengthen internal controls
- Acts as professional practice principal for the East region and oversees the region’s assurance practice
- Serves as professional practice principal for the firm’s manufacturing, distribution and technology group, which develops and delivers industry training, monitors compliance with applicable standards and develops strategic initiatives for the industry group
- Participated in a task force established by the Center for Audit Quality to submit comments on the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission of the Internal Control – Integrated Framework – 2013 Framework
