Jonathan is the managing principal of Baker Tilly’s financial services practice. With more than 20 years of experience as an assurance principal and leader, Jonathan specializes in providing assurance and accounting services to the insurance industry, with a particular focus on property and casualty insurance, managing general agents (MGAs), agencies, third-party administrators (TPAs) and insurtechs.
- Leads the financial services practice, which includes the asset management, financial institutions, fintech/specialty finance, and insurance sectors with a focus on strategy, growth and innovation
- Leads various financial services and insurance industry client relationships and delivers quality and timely assurance and advisory services
- Serves insurance industry clients in the middle market, including several mutual insurance company clients
- Served as the principal on the audits of certain multinational insurance and investment companies, including co-leading the coordination of international component auditors in the United Kingdom, China and Bermuda
- Experienced in insurance company statutory accounting principles and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assists companies with the implementation and improvement of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) processes
- Graduate of Baker Tilly’s internal leadership program and recipient of the Leadership Excellence Award
