Ken Fleming is a principal in our Tysons, Virginia office (D.C.) and advises businesses, owners and investors on merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions and serves the office of the CFO. Ken has more than 20 years of advisory and public accounting experience in a wide variety of industries including software and technology, government contracting, business services, manufacturing and distribution, aerospace and defense, healthcare, retail and hospitality, real estate and construction, biotechnology, emerging growth, and private equity.
Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Ken provided financial due diligence and advisory services to debt and equity investors for a transaction services firm. Ken was also a senior manager in the assurance and business advisory practice at a Big Four firm where he served numerous public companies involved in complex business transactions, IPOs and registration statements. Ken started his career at a Chicago based international accounting firm.
- Provides transaction support, including financial due diligence, quality of earnings, seller preparation assistance, carve-outs, business valuation, integration support and structuring and negotiation in connection with mergers and acquisitions, significant financing events and special situations
- Advised clients on billions of dollars in transaction value from both buy-side and sell-side perspectives
- Provides CFO advisory including enterprise finance and accounting support services, audit readiness and support, financial modeling, integration, carve-outs and divestitures, financial restatements and performance improvement services
- Experience serving clients of a wide range in size and stage, from emerging growth to Fortune 500 public companies, private equity and federal agencies
- Transaction team member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Deal Team of The Year - Private Company winner at the 2018 Corporate Growth Awards
