
Khadijeh is a principal with Baker Tilly’s specialty tax practice. She has more than 10 years of experience specializing in the area of global mobility tax services and program management, with a focus on international taxation. Her extensive experience encompasses all aspects of the mobile employee life cycle including global mobility program policy and process design, reviewing assignment letters and secondment agreements, pre-assignment planning and cost analysis, coordinating with relocation and immigration vendors, and streamlining the employee experience through clear and proactive communications.
Her tax technical experience includes pre-assignment and post arrival U.S. tax planning and employee consultations, assistance on international social security matters and certificates of coverage, income tax treaty applications, tax equalization and gross-up issues, foreign tax credit utilization, global payroll reporting compliance, and planning for domestic and international remote work arrangements.
- Provides global tax compliance and consulting services for international assignees, with clients ranging from large multinational companies with high volume expat assignee programs to high-net-worth individuals with cross border tax issues
- Experience in mobility programs that have gone through major restructuring, such as acquisitions, spinoffs and entering new countries, including transition process design and timeline management
