Kim Karmitz is a director of business development with Baker Tilly’s private equity practice. For more than 20 years she has advised leading private equity firms and owners of privately held businesses on a wide range of financial and strategic priorities. At Baker Tilly, her extensive transaction and corporate development experience allows her to provide solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies throughout the entire lifespan of an investment.
Prior to Baker Tilly, Kim was an investment banker with a multinational independent investment bank and financial services firm’s consumer investment banking group where she partnered with middle market clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and growth initiatives. She led the firm’s fashion, apparel and accessories practice.
Previously, she was with two top investment banks specializing in M&A and capital raising for public and private retail and consumer companies. Kim also founded Goldstar Advisors, a strategic advisory firm that helped board members and C-suite executives with corporate development initiatives, transaction execution and growth strategies.
Kim earned a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, where she graduated with honors and magna cum laude.
