Lisa is a director with Baker Tilly’s financial services risk advisory practice, who has been with the firm since 2016 and has been providing risk advisory services to financial institutions and trust clients since 2003. Her extensive exposure to the operating environments within the financial institutions industry allows her to share and help clients implement leading industry practices.
- Extensive prior financial institution and internal audit experience, including more than 10 years in the industry and more than 10 years with the nation’s fifth largest accounting and consulting firm
- Provides risk management consulting services to public and privately held financial institution clients that have ranged between $40 million and $12 billion in assets
- Specializes in fiduciary and operational internal audits, including trust, deposits, loans, wire transfers, automated clearing houses (ACH) and investments
- Works with financial institutions and trust companies to help identify business risks and improve controls to mitigate these risks
- Leads engagement teams in performing business process reviews to identify control gaps and operational inefficiencies, as well as operational and trust internal audits
- Leads engagement teams in completing internal audit risk assessments to determine associated risk levels of all banking processes and assist clients in designing and implementing sustainable and cost-effective internal audit programs
- Presents internal audit reports and plan status to management and audit committees
- Trains and mentors staff, both internally and via client co-sourcing arrangements
- Experience in FDICIA and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and testing
