Michelle Doyle is a principal with Baker Tilly. She is a professional mortgage industry leader with more than 30 years’ experience specializing in performance optimization, risk management and technology integration. Michelle brings combination of diversified subject matter expertise of operational management; credit risk underwriting of FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA loan types, regulatory compliance and training, quality assurance due diligence, and quality control of all agencies. She has in-depth knowledge and experience in primary and secondary mortgage markets, specializing in client service and operations for the residential mortgage industry. Michelle previously held executive level management roles of several quality control divisions for mortgage lending institutions and for outsourced quality control vendors.
- Responsible for direct oversight of technical and operations activities of quality control, compliance and servicing business channels
- Expert knowledge of compliance with corporate policies/procedures and federal/state laws and regulations governing mortgage lending, including ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FCRA, GLBA, HOEPA, FHA and FEMA
- Experience with Mandatory Purchase of Flood Insurance Guidelines and lender products and services
- Responsible for maintaining quality control policies/procedures in the audit review process ensuring all work performed is in accordance with agency, federal, and state regulations
- Instrumental in ensuring compliance and quality control functions are performed in accordance with policies/procedures outlined in the clients’ investor guides and contractual obligations, as well as state and federal regulations and regulatory requirements
- Subject matter expert in credit underwriting, risk mitigation and compliance in retail, wholesale, and correspondent lending
