
Nick Goodman specializes in assurance services for commercial privately held, private equity backed and not-for-profit entities.
Nick has more than 15 years of experience, specializing in a variety of industries including government contractors, automotive dealers, healthcare, technology and software and other commercial entities. Many of Nick’s clients are private equity or venture-capital backed portfolio companies, privately held or not-for-profit entities. Nick is responsible for the management and implementation of assurance services and bringing clients thoughtful insights, with extensive experience with complex, fast-growing companies and their entrepreneurial owners and investors.
- Performs assurance related engagements under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and special-purpose frameworks
 - Consults with clients on various U.S. GAAP technical accounting issues, including advising clients on revenue recognition, equity transactions, business combinations, consolidations and significant estimates
 - Performs ASC 842 lease implementation assistance projects
 - Leads audits within the firm’s employee benefit plan practice and advises clients on IRS and DOL compliance matters
 - Experience in buy-side due diligence procedures for clients, including historical and projected financial statement analysis and tax considerations
 - Professional Practice Group Partner of SSARS practice
 - Assists in the firm’s quality control function, providing consultation and guidance to engagement teams regarding the appropriate accounting and auditing considerations and perform engagement quality reviews
 - Experience in external peer reviews of other Top 10 accounting firms
