Rajeev is a principal with Baker Tilly’s assurance professional practice group. He leads the IT governance risk and controls pillar within the assurance service line - professional practice group. With more than 25 years of audit practice and regulatory experience. Rajeev specializes in internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) with an emphasis on automation, and on technology risk and controls.
He started his career in 1998 as a financial statement auditor prior to transitioning into the IT risk and controls service line. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, he spent more than 10 years at a not-for-profit corporation created by the Sarbanes–Oxley Act within the division of registration and inspections where he led teams of experienced IT auditors and performed inspections of SEC registrant issuer audit engagements across various public accounting firms including the Big Four firms. While at this organization, he also led an inspection program overseeing the firms’ system of quality controls over the design, development and deployment of software audit tools used by the firms’ engagement teams in the execution of internal control and substantive audit procedures.
