Sean Statz is a director with Baker Tilly’s risk advisory practice. He brings nearly 15 years of experience in financial institutions and is a member of the financial services team specializing in providing data analytics and financial modeling services to financial institutions. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Sean worked for a financial institution consulting firm, specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), current expected credit loss (CECL) and other data-focused advisory services to banks and credit unions.
- Leads the firm’s financial services model validation team
- Provides CECL implementation and post implementation support, including validating CECL models
- Performs extensive modeling for financial services clients, including stress testing, budgeting, CECL and asset and liability management
- Develops client focused data analytic solutions to support and enhance existing client relationships
- Provides advisory services related to financial institution loan portfolios, deposit portfolios and strategic growth initiatives
- Experience with business combination accounting, including balance sheet valuation and day 1 and day 2 accounting
