Todd Carpenter serves as the managing principal of Baker Tilly’s development and community advisory consulting practice. In this role, he provides leadership, management and strategic direction to the firm’s real estate advisory and public sector advisory practices and related activities while overseeing the development and expansion of client services. A seasoned professional with extensive experience in public accounting, Todd has worked with general and subcontractors as well as real estate developers, investors, brokers and other entities in the industry throughout his career. He joined the firm in 1997 and is committed to helping clients with assurance, tax and development advisory services.
- Provide leadership, management and strategic direction for the real estate advisory and public sector advisory practices
- Guides and executes specialization within the practice to drive measurable results
- Oversees the development and expansion of services for clients and prospects in the industry
- Develops the practice’s leadership and management capabilities
- Directs accounting services and manages financial statement audit and review engagements for construction contractors and real estate developers, with specialization in commercial, hospitality and affordable housing
- Leads the firm’s Opportunity Zone strategies and services
- Experience with project financing, including new markets, historic and affordable housing tax credits; debt options; and succession planning for family-owned and privately held contractor businesses
