Troy Marine, firm director with Baker Tilly, has been with the firm since 1997. He specializes in tax-related issues involving tax-exempt organizations as well as their taxable subsidiaries while serving as a firmwide specialist in this area. Troy assists organizations throughout the entire tax-exempt process, from obtaining tax-exempt status to filing annual returns. He helps organizations develop strategies to minimize UBTI, works with organizations on various topics such as governance policies, compensation disclosures and other matters. He also advises clients on upcoming tax law changes for proactive tax planning purposes. Troy works closely with many types of tax-exempt organizations such as college and universities, voluntary health and welfare organizations, associations, religious entities, private golf and social clubs, and many more.
