Client need
After more than 50 years of operating both a skilled nursing and an independent living facility, Cortland Acres decided to focus its future efforts on expanding its independent living services to better meet the needs of Tucker County, West Virginia residents. This decision led Cortland Acres’ board of directors to consider the sale of the skilled nursing facility. Upon learning of Baker Tilly Capital’s role in the successful sale of Ohio Valley Healthcare to West Virginia University (WVU) Medicine, the board reached out to the Baker Tilly Capital team. After meeting with Baker Tilly Capital and discovering its extensive experience with skilled nursing facilities, the board engaged them to assist in finding the right partner to acquire the skilled nursing facility.
