Scale your benefits module experience with Oracle Redwood
Feb 11, 2025 · Authored by Michael Josephson and Rachel Strong
Oracle Redwood is the new, initiative interface to enhance user experience and redefining Oracle’s entire suite of solutions. Starting with the 24B Oracle quarterly release, Oracle Redwood pages have arrived for the Benefits module. Oracle’s Redwood pages replace the previous responsive user interface (UI) pages, bringing page redesigns and new features.
A more intuitive, guided enrollment experience for the employee
Oracle’s new Redwood pages for benefits enrollment are modeled like a guided journey. Employees are given a mixture of optional and required tasks to take them through the enrollment process from start to finish.
Administrators can provide employees with the chance to choose between two new enrollment paths – express or discovery. These path options provide a tailored enrollment experience for the user depending on their needs:
- Express lets users review and re-enroll in their same plans, cutting down on the time spent reviewing each plan option. Users can quickly keep plans or enroll in what they like.
- Discovery allows users to review every plan option, providing a detailed look at all the offerings available to them within benefits.
- Verification and enrollment documents can be uploaded by administrators and employees within the enrollment process instead of navigating to separate pages.
- Post-enrollment feedback surveys help employees feel empowered and capture feedback about their enrollment. You can target specific benefits-related policies or procedures with customized survey questions and use this feedback as an administrator to gather analytics and make future decisions for your next open enrollment.
- Automated benefit alerts and statuses keep the employee and administrator informed of enrollment or document approvals or rejections
- Customizing these allows for more thorough, real time communication with the employee on the status of their benefit enrollments or submitted documentation
Keep employees informed
Informed decisions on benefit elections lead to a healthier, more productive employee population. Provide your team with more tools to stay informed and reduce costs with Oracle’s new Redwood pages for benefits.
Deploy AI agents using guided journeys to answer frequently asked questions about topics like benefit programs, plans, and policies. Chatting with an AI Agent lets HR administrators focus on high-priority work while still providing employees the information they need.
Help employees make the best decision for their family when choosing a benefit plan using the plan comparison tool embedded within the enrollment experience. Employees no longer need to compare the plans before entering or exiting enrollment pages when utilizing this redesigned feature.
Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) calculators are available within the enrollment pages, allowing employees to calculate tax savings on their enrollment in real time.
Before you enroll
Include pertinent benefit details for employees in the ‘before you enroll’ section, an optional step in the new guided enrollment process. Deliver important reminders and information to employees before they begin the process of enrollment.
Administrative enhancements mean fewer clicks
With Oracle’s new Redwood pages, the benefits pages available to HR and benefits administrators have been optimized for efficiency. Actions are streamlined so that you can do more in fewer clicks.
Administrators can add, evaluate and delete a life event all from one page. This is a huge reduction in the pages and clicks required to process a life event for employee enrollments.
- A new menu format allows you to view specific information while staying on the benefit summary landing page through a side drawer. Benefits administrators can stay in one area while searching a digital file drawer of benefits information about an employee.
- You are now able to close a life event within the enrollment pages, keeping the benefits module clean, accurate and ready for further processing during events like open enrollment with this new feature.
- Designate a dependent or beneficiary right from the benefits summary landing page, a task previously unavailable without navigating to the enrollment pages.
