Seasoned executives Sonia Webb and Amy Ward bring strategic expertise to drive growth and innovation
CHICAGO (Aug. 27, 2024) – Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, announces the appointment of two dynamic individuals to its senior leadership team: Sonia Webb as chief financial officer and Amy Ward as chief people officer. As the firm continues its growth trajectory, these strategic hires reinforce Baker Tilly’s commitment to operational excellence and a purpose-driven culture.

Sonia Webb Appointed as Chief Financial Officer
Effective Sept. 18, Sonia Webb will step into the role of principal and CFO, bringing more than 20 years of financial leadership experience. Most recently, Webb served as CFO of Avanade — the leading Microsoft Services Provider, a joint venture of nearly 25 years between Accenture and Microsoft — where she was responsible for global financial operations, investment strategy and financial planning across a workforce of 60,000 employees in 28 countries. Prior to that, she held several leadership positions at Accenture, focusing on operational efficiency, financial management and technological strategies.
Webb’s financial management expertise and experience in driving growth within complex, global organizations will be instrumental as Baker Tilly continues to scale.

Amy Ward Joins as Chief People Officer
Amy Ward assumed the role of principal and chief people officer effective Aug. 19. Ward brings extensive experience in human capital strategy, most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer at MUFG Union Bank, part of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, where she led initiatives in culture development, talent management, diversity and organizational effectiveness. Her tenure at MUFG Union Bank and nearly 20 years at PNC Financial Services Group, where she held various leadership roles, give her a deep understanding of change management, organizational structuring, learning and organizational development.
Ward’s leadership will be key to enhancing Baker Tilly’s culture, ensuring the firm continues to attract and retain top talent while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
