
Ahmed leads Baker Tilly's West Coast audit and assurance practice as well as our West Coast real and construction industry practice. Since joining the firm in 1999, Ahmed has managed numerous financial statement audits for clients across various sectors, including real estate, construction, title and escrow, hospitality and financial services. He also brings extensive experience in providing management and business advisory services.
- Has significant experience working with real estate funds, Real estate investment trusts (REITs), homebuilders, land developers, commercial real estate owners and operators, in addition to asset and property management companies
- Guides clients through merger and acquisition transactions, transaction structuring, valuations, feasibility studies and control policies reviews
- Assists publicly held clients in filing registration statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as well as complying with all regulatory filing requirements
- Assists clients with responding to SEC comments, addressing technical accounting matters and new accounting pronouncements. Assists boards of directors with compliance matters
- Leads consulting projects such as reviews of joint venture agreements, analysis of accounting and cost control systems, preparation of internal control reports
