
Andy is a director with Baker Tilly’s national tax practice. He leads the private wealth vertical within the Washington tax council where he focuses on complex tax matters relevant to the firm’s high-net-worth clients. Andy specializes in a range of subject areas including, but not limited to, individual taxation, exempt organizations, charitable giving and estates, gifts and trusts (EGT). He supports the firm’s client service teams with research, consulting and thought leadership.
- Researches complex individual tax issues and succinctly conveys the result of that research to clients in a comprehensible fashion
- Provides tax planning for high-net-worth families and their related entities
- Advises on tax issues pertaining to exempt entities including individual retirement accounts (IRAs), charitable split-interest trusts and private foundations
- Assists with tax reporting and planning for individuals, estates and trusts
- Advises clients on tax efficient charitable giving
- Assists with pre- and post-mortem income tax planning
