Carol is a principal with Baker Tilly’s financial services practice. She joined Baker Tilly in 2011 after spending 10 years at a regional firm. She specializes in the insurance industry serving clients which includes not-for-profit payors. She is the financial services team leader for the Central Region and the supporting opportunity, advancement and recognition (SOAR) Midwest POD leader.
- Provides public accounting audit services to insurance companies
- Analyzes financial statements and communicates results to management, audit committees and boards
- Prepares comprehensive, detailed findings and recommendations outlining financial, internal-control and operational improvements
- Reviews financial statements and disclosures to determine compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP)
- Identifies financial benchmarking information to benefit clients
- Develops tools and processes to enhance the client experience working with additional service lines within the firm including consulting, tax and business valuation
