Emily is a principal with Baker Tilly’s real estate and construction practice. She works closely with real estate clients in delivering financial statement audits and business advisory needs.
- Plans, supervises and manages financial statement services for commercial, residential real estate developers and investors
- Assists clients on financial reporting issues, including preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Extensive experience in assisting to create or evaluate a company’s internal control processes through walkthrough procedures across many different industries
- Assists management in understanding various risks and inefficiencies in their current controls, and how to mitigate those and become more efficient and effective
- Provides technical guidance to clients on revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairment, acquisitions and consolidations
