
Mark Evans is a director with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice. He has been in forensic accounting and financial investigations since 2011. Mark has worked in the firm’s London and Sydney offices, gaining an in-depth knowledge of financial statements and their components and the specific variations in financial records between different industries.
Mark has worked on accounting investigations on behalf of insurers and lawyers in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. In addition to reviews focusing on business interruption, loss of profits and product liability, he has assisted with fraud and accounting investigations in a number of different business sectors.
Mark has been involved in complex business interruption claims and worked on multimillion dollar losses involving mining, aluminum smelter plants and oil and petrochemical plants. He has conducted site visits on a number of occasions to investigate financial statements and the financial performance of the companies involved.
He has experience in the re-creation of financial statements from incomplete records and the detailed review of suspicious transactions.
