
Mark Patterson is a principal emeritus with Baker Tilly. He is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing the work of engagement teams reviewing tax planning and compliance work, approving returns and presenting work to the management and boards of clients.
Mark works with middle-market company owners to help reduce their federal and state tax obligations through advantageous tax accounting methods, such as state and federal deductions (including the Tennessee Jobs Tax Credit), federal research and experimentation (R&D) and work opportunity credits, IC-DISC for exporters, and cost segregation studies. He also assists clients on both the buy and sell sides of merger and acquisition transactions, including advising clients on exit strategies and their tax implications.
- Oversees tax engagements for clients including auto suppliers, plastic injection molders and fabricated metal product manufacturers, as well as distributors of consumer products, pharmaceuticals, building materials, office supplies, furniture and wire/cable
