Mitch is a tax director with Baker Tilly’s manufacturing and distribution team who focuses on tax transaction services.
He has more than 35 years of professional experience. Before joining Baker Tilly, Mitch served as vice president of tax and insurance for a high-growth manufacturing company where he led the treasury and equity compensation functions during his tenure. He also served as director of tax and insurance for a large public company. Mitch previously gained experience with a Big Four accounting firm where he served public and private companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth families.
- Advises public and private companies in the manufacturing, distribution, financial services, retail and consumer product industries
- Specializes in tax planning, tax structuring, tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, transactions, reorganizations, divestitures of non-strategic assets, bankruptcy, troubled company debt restructuring and financial accounting for income taxes (ASC 740)
- Provides comprehensive finance and tax advice in areas such as SEC compliance, acquisition due diligence, initial public offerings, secondary offerings and other equity and debt financings
- Represents clients before the IRS, state and local taxing authorities in examinations and appellate controversies
