Nikki Telander is a principal with Baker Tilly’s real estate and construction practice. She has more than 20 years of experience in various tax roles. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, she worked with a private family office and spent more than eight years at a regional CPA firm. Nikki specializes in affordable housing, real estate and flow through entities.

- Identifies business and tax planning opportunities for clients to minimize tax liability
- Actively manages federal, state and local tax compliance for national and local real estate developers
- Experience with tax consulting and structuring of tax free 1031 exchanges
- Experience with analysis of 15-year exit strategies including tax impact to partners and investors
- Provides LIHTC consulting including tax compliance, qualified basis, cost certification assistance and 8609 review
- Experience with IRS and state tax controversy work
