
Sonali has more than 20 years of experience in federal and international taxation. She works with clients in the areas of federal income tax, international tax and ASC 740 – Provision for Income Taxes. Sonali has experience in a variety of industries including industry services, retail and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Sonali spent seven years at a Big Four firm in Atlanta, Georgia where she specialized in international taxation. She later transferred to the Tampa, Florida office and focused on federal and international tax for multinational clients.
- Provides tax provision, compliance and consulting services to large multinational clients
- Works on a variety of tax compliance, provision and consulting engagements with a focus in both U.S. federal and international tax
- Experience with the analysis and calculation of GILTI, FDII, BEAT, transition tax, Subpart F, E&P and tax pool studies, foreign tax credits and repatriation planning
- Prepares and reviews Foreign Informational Reporting Forms including 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992 and 1118
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing domestic and international tax provisions for large multinational publicly traded and private clients, including deferred and tax payable studies, purchase accounting, uncertain tax positions and APB 23 analysis
