Thomas is managing principal of Baker Tilly’s Orange County and San Diego markets and an audit partner with more than 17 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive experience working with startups as well as public and private companies ranging from development stage to more than $450 million in revenues with both domestic and international operations.
- Plans and leads audit and review engagements for SEC clients and private companies
- Executes planned audit procedures for financial statements and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 audits
- Reports findings to firm and client management, as well as the audit committee
- Drafts and reviews financial statements and ensures adequacy of disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Significant experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, complex financing arrangements, business combinations, and companies with considerable international operations
- Works with companies ranging from development stages to $250 million in revenues with both domestic and international operations
- Former accounting manager for a privately held manufacturing company, where he supervised daily accounting functions and maintenance of internal controls
