How can higher education institutions use lessons learned from operating during a pandemic to enhance their enterprise risk management (ERM) programs and business continuity planning (BCP)? Many institutions already had ERM programs and business continuity plans in place, but the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted key areas where further strengthening is both beneficial and crucial to the success of college and university students, faculty and staff. In addition, the pandemic has proven the value of these critical risk management functions in helping increase collaboration and communication across the institution.
