A Fortune 500 technology integrator serving defense, intelligence, civilian and space markets teamed up with Baker Tilly to modernize its operations. The company employs around 24,000 people and generates nearly $7.5 billion annually. They deliver mission-critical IT, engineering and cybersecurity solutions to U.S. government agencies. Baker Tilly supports the company’s modernization efforts through Oracle Cloud initiatives, across HR and finance operations, and aligns technology with strategic goals.  

The business challenge 

The company began its Oracle Cloud transformation journey in 2019 with the goal of modernizing HR functions across people, processes and technology. The organization has evolved through organic growth, acquisitions and changes in external forces, leading to the evolution of their back-office functions across HR and finance. 

Recently, the company migrated from Oracle Government Cloud to Oracle Commercial Cloud, unlocking new opportunities to leverage enhanced capabilities and functions within the Cloud. With this shift, they are seeking to modernize, improve and optimize their business processes through further technology enablement on Oracle Cloud. 

Strategy 

Baker Tilly has been a trusted strategic partner to the company since 2019, beginning with the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud, including Core HR, Talent Management, Compensation, Absence and Learning modules. This foundational deployment laid out the groundwork for a series of successful initiatives that have transformed the company’s back-office operations. 

Since the initial HCM deployment, Baker Tilly has advised the company’s unified business and technology teams to continuously improve and enhance its business processes and Oracle Cloud design through knowledge transfer and coaching. Current priorities include migrating from Taleo to Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), implementing Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) and optimizing performance management capabilities. In parallel, Baker Tilly is advising the company on a strategic roadmap to sequence and deploy additional features and functionality in Oracle Cloud, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
