On June 4–5, 2025, Baker Tilly hosted our annual two-day virtual not-for-profit (NFP) governance and fiscal workshop, led by industry specialists and panelists. This webinar brought together hundreds of NFP organizations to gain valuable insights and practical takeaways on topics impacting the sector, especially amid the significant changes unfolding in 2025.

On day 1, we explored key governance topics designed to help organizations strengthen and sustain their operations. One session focused on the challenges and disruptions anticipated in 2025, offering practical strategies to navigate uncertainty and build resilience. Additional discussions covered effective governance frameworks and how to identify essential metrics for board members and management to track progress. The day concluded with insights from our risk advisory professionals on fraud in the not-for-profit sector, including foundational concepts, risk factors and practical approaches to prevention, detection and mitigation.

On day 2, we addressed technical topics. Learn how to implement artificial intelligence effectively, ethically and in compliance with regulatory standards. Then, hear the latest on accounting and auditing standards, featuring insights from committee members directly involved in shaping those standards. We concluded the workshop with a panel discussion on the administrative and regulatory impacts affecting tax-exempt organizations.
