
Michelle Hobbs, director in national tax, brings more than 25 years of experience to Baker Tilly. She provides tax and consulting services through our national tax office. Michelle specializes in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the Affordable Care Act and other significant pieces of federal legislation. She authors and coauthors internal and external tax guidance offering in-depth analysis of multiple issues and concepts and performs technical reviews of many types of returns to offer insight and planning ideas to engagement teams.
- Performs tax research and tax thought leadership for the firm, specializing in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the Affordable Care Act, professional services firms, corporate and partnership taxation and state income taxation
- Periodically presents to the firm on federal legislative updates and healthcare-related tax issues

- Consults with client engagement teams on issues involving consolidated groups, partnership income allocations, acquisition and divestiture of entities and managing tax attributes through planning
