
Paul Dillon is a director with Baker Tilly’s Washington tax council practice. He has been with Baker Tilly since 2002, and provides a variety of consultation services, including managing the tax aspects of a $2.2 billion real estate recapitalization, $600 million umbrella partnership real estate investment trust (UPREIT) transaction and obtaining a private letter ruling for a divisive reorganization.
- Leads tax research and development and creation of tax thought leadership for the firm
- Advises companies in a variety of federal tax areas, as well as IRS audit defense
- Assists clients structuring partnership agreements, mergers and acquisitions
- Advises clients on complex partnership tax matters, including §704(b) and §704(c) allocations, liability allocations, restructurings and cancellation of debt transactions
